Statement of Faith
The Word of God | 2 Timothy 3:15-16
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the infallible guide for our conduct and faith in God.
God’s Nature | Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Mark 12:29
We believe in one God eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent.
Jesus Christ | Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 11:27, Romans 6:4 & 8:34, Acts 1:10-11
We believe Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of a virgin and lived a blameless and sinless life. That He died for our sins and the sins of the whole world, was buried and on the third day resurrected by the glory of the Father. He ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God and intercedes for the saints until His return.
Salvation of Man | Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 1:7
We believe that salvation is a free gift of God and is received by grace through faith, not of works. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all unrighteousness.
Water Baptism | Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-6 , 1 Peter 3:21
We believe that after repentance and confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, a believer should be baptized by immersion in water.
Holy Spirit Baptism | John 20:22, Acts 1:4 & 8 1 Corinthians 12: 1, Mark 16:17, Acts 10:44-46
We believe that all believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and should desire and expect to receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them. This is distinct and subsequent to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and is made manifest by the speaking in tongues, spiritual gifts, and the power for an overcoming life of service to God.
The Lord’s Supper | 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Matthew 26:26-29, Luke 22:19-20, John 6:51-57
We believe the Lord’s Supper is to be celebrated by the taking of the bread and the cup, thereby, commemorating the Lord’s death until He returns.
Church Gatherings | Psalm 122:1, Acts 2:42
We believe that believers should gather together to have times of Worship and Fellowship on a consistent basis in order to grow and mature into a complete person.
The Second Coming of Christ | John 14:2-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to Heaven, His exaltation, personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the Church.
The Final Judgment | Revelation 20: 11-15, 2 Thessalonians 1:9
We believe there will be a bodily resurrection of the dead. The believer in the Lord Jesus Christ shall be raised to everlasting life with the Lord and the unbeliever to everlasting separation from God with eternal torment.
At Living Water, we love to worship God with music and song. Here’s why.

Why do we stand when we sing?

2 Chronicles 20:19

“And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of lsrael with a loud voice on high.”

Why do we clap our hands?

Psalm 47: 1

O, clap your hands, all ye people. Shout unto God with the voice of triumph!”

Why do we lift our hands in worship?

Psalm 63:4

“Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.”

1 Timothy 2:8

“I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”

Why do we pray and sing in tongues and in English?

1 Corinthians 14:14-15

“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding, also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding, also.”

Why are musical instruments part of the worship service?

Psalm 150:3-5

“Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs! Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals!”
