Size Of A Mustard Seed

Sunday, August 4, 2019 – Pastor George M. Dupree

Mark 4:30 Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? 31 It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; 32 but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.” 33 And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to hear it.     Even though the mustard seed is so small it can grow to something that is tremendously larger than its size.     The seed looks nothing like the end result.     Don’t despise the day of small beginnings. Job 8:7 Even though you’re not much right now, you’ll end up better than ever.     You don’t start where you end. There’s the journey, you start small but you can end big. In the middle is the questioning time but hold on, God is up to something good.     Don’t compare your first chapter to someone else’s chapter 10     Some things that come too fast can actually be dangerous.     Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
