---Welcome!

We believe & teach that there is only ONE God, ONE faith & ONE Savior, Jesus Christ.

Living Water Church is a place where where you will encounter spiritual truths and get answers to some questions that we all wrestle with in a safe and welcoming environment. Come and experience what’s happening at Living Water Church!

It all began on Sunday, January 1, 1978

Over 42 years ago, Living Water started out as a Prayer Meeting in Frank & Phyllis Dupree’s living room in Laurel, NY on Long Island’s east end. Soon, the church grew, and on January 1, 1978, we moved into a storefront building in Jamesport, NY.

20/20 Vision – Seeing Ourselves As Forgiven
Sunday, February 16, 2020 – Pastor George M. Dupree

Isaiah 33:17 Your eyes will behold the king in his beauty; they will see a land that stretches afar.

We all have things in our lives that can bring Guilt to us.
There is TRUE GUILT & FALSE GUILT or GOOD GUILT & BAD GUILT.

True Guilt is when we’ve done something wrong and we feel the remorse or regret.
False Guilt is when something bad happens and we blame ourselves.

The feeling we ought to have when we have done wrong is

GODLY SORROW
This could also be called Good Guilt. This is to motivate us to come to Jesus Christ for his salvation and forgiveness, to make right the wrongs we have done, and to genuinely repent of (turn away from) this type of action.

• • •
2 Corinthians 7:10NIV

10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

• • •
CONDEMNATION often comes to us after we repent and are forgiven but it’s not from God. Jesus did not come to bring condemnation

• • •
John 3:17NKJV

17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

• • •
There Is A Place That Is Free Of Condemnation – It’s in Christ

• • •
Romans 8:1NKJV

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

• • •
Because you’ve asked for forgiveness you are forgiven.

• • •
Psalms 103:12NKJV

12 As far as the east is from the west,So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

• • •
There is an ACCUSER – He’s like a bully but he’s defeated

• • •
Revelation 12:10NKJV

10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

• • •
Zechariah 3:4NKJV

4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”

We all need to learn how to forgive ourselves. What that means is we have to learn to accept God’s forgiveness.

If we are going to experience the plan that God has for us we, of course, need to be right with Him, not perfect, just right with Him. That comes from repentance. Simply put repentance is a change of heart, a change of mind, a change of direction and therefore a change of actions.

Forgiveness is one of the fundamentals of our faith. God tells us that we must forgive. What we sometimes forget is that we have to forgive ourselves.

He is FAITHFUL & JUST To Forgive

• • •
1 John 1:9NIV

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

• • •
Only the blood of Jesus satisfies God’s justice; and He is not looking for any more payment than the Blood of Jesus.

Not forgiving yourself is an act of self-hatred and God never intended for us to hate ourselves.

Love keeps no record of WRONGS

• • •
I Corinthians 13:5NKJV

5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

• • •
If LOVE (God) keeps no record why should I?

20/20 Vision – Seeing The Unseen
Sunday, February 9, 2020 – Pastor George M. Dupree

Isaiah 33:17 Your eyes will behold the king in his beauty; they will see a land that stretches afar.

Angels are ministering spirits

Hebrews 1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Angels ministered to Jesus’ humanity in His temptation
Matthew 4:11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Angels Guard Us

Psalms 91:1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most Highwill find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
11 For he will order his angelsto protect you wherever you go.

Angels Worship God

Isaiah 6:1 It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord. He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of his robe filled the Temple. 2 Attending him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings. With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew. 3 They were calling out to each other,“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!” 4 Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.

Revelation 4:8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:“Holy, holy, holy,Lord God Almighty,Who was and is and is to come!”

We Don’t Worship Angels

Revelation 22:8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9 Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

Seeing The Unseen

II Kings 6:8 Now the king of Syria was making war against Israel; and he consulted with his servants, saying, “My camp will be in such and such a place.” 9 And the man of God sent to the king of Israel, saying, “Beware that you do not pass this place, for the Syrians are coming down there.” 10 Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice. 11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?” 12 And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.” 13 So he said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.”And it was told him, saying, “Surely he is in Dothan.” 14 Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city. 15 And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” 16 So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

The city is surrounded with horses and chariots from the enemy. It looks bad, very bad. But there is something that Gehazi can’t see. He can clearly see the natural realm. What he can’t see is the supernatural realm. His name means valley of a visionary. His name says he can see, but he can’t. His gifting is to see, but he can’t. What he needs is the word of the Lord. Sometimes we have a gifting but it doesn’t manifest. It needs the release from the prophetic. After Elisha prayed Gehazi’s eyes are opened to see the unseen. He sees that the mountain was filled with horses and chariots, but they were different than the enemy’s horses and chariots, they were made of fire. And they surrounded Elisha.

Angels are a part of the unseen world.

Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

It’s not so important that we see Angels, it’s important to know that they see us!
