Two Peaces
We Can Have Peace With God - It's Instant - We Can Have The Peace Of God - It's Progressive

Isaiah 32:1 (NKJV) Behold, a king will reign in righteousness...32:17-18 The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. 18 My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

Peace With God

Romans 5:1 (NKJV) Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we instantly have peace with God through what Jesus Christ did on the cross.

Jesus reconciled us to God. And we have Peace With God. He made that peace by His blood on the cross.
Hebrews 10:19 (TLB) And so, dear brothers, now we may walk right into the very Holy of Holies, where God is, because of the blood of Jesus.

Colossians 1:21 (TLB) This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies and hated him and were separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now he has brought you back as his friends.

The curtain that separated us is torn from top to bottom and we can come into the presence of God with an assurance that we belong to Him.

Matthew 27:51 (NKJV) Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,

Ephesians 1:6-7 (TLB) Now all praise to God for his wonderful kindness to us and his favor that he has poured out upon us because we belong to his dearly loved Son. 7 So overflowing is his kindness toward us that he took away all our sins through the blood of his Son, by whom we are saved;

The Peace Of God
Jesus Is Our Peace

Ephesians 2:14 (NKJV) For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

Jesus Gives Us His Peace

John 14:27 (TLB) "I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid.

How We Can Keep His Peace In Our Lives

Speak Peace Into Your Life

Luke 10:5-6 (NKJV) "But whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this house.'

Think Of God

Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

Philippians 4:8 (TLB) And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

Let Jesus Be Lord - Let Him Be The Ruler Of Your Heart

Colossians 3:15 (NKJV) And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

It's As Easy As 1 -2 -3

1 - Rejoice All The Time & Be Gracious

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness (graciousness) be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

2 - Don't Worry About Anything - By Praying About Everything

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard (garrison 1. A military post, esp. one permanently established. fortified place, to protect.) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy; meditate on these things.

3 - Do What You Have Learned

Philippians 4:9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

You Can Have Peace

Would you like to have peace with God, today? If you do pray this simple prayer…Lord Jesus, I ask you to wash me clean of my sins. I ask you to come into my life and live with me. I thank you for taking away my hard heart and giving me a brand new heart and a brand new start in life. Thank you Jesus, today I am a new person, I'm Born Again. Now I pray that you will lead me and guide me into all truth, help me find a good church where the Bible is preached and taught, where the people worship and praise God and where I can grow in my new life. Amen.

Friend, if you prayed that prayer you are a part of the family of God, you are Born Again. It's the best thing you've ever done.

God Bless You.

Make Me A Sanctuary

Have you ever heard the song that says

"Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. And with thanksgiing, I'll be a living santuary, Lord for you."

What if we were to think of that song with the idea of US being a sanctuary, a refuge, for a lost soul? Could it be that God wants the attitude of our heart to be a hiding place for someone who has no place to go but hell.

Mark 16:15, "15 And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

Matthew 24:14, "14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come."

Sanctuary

A refuge, a safe place, especially for people being persecuted
A place where wildlife is protected, a place or area of land where wildlife is protected from predators and from being destroyed or hunted by human beings a bird sanctuary
The church protecting fugitives: in medieval times, a holy place, usually a church, that provided immunity from the law
The church should be the safest place in the world. People who are hurting need a hospital; the church is to be that hospital. It seems as though the church has not totally laid out the welcome mat to ALL THE WORLD.

Could it be that we have lost site of the fact that we were once lost and rotten without hope in this world? Did we forget where we came from? Have we failed to show mercy and love? If we have, then we need to change so the lost and dying of this world will be compelled to come to Jesus. After all, we are the only Jesus they will ever see.

The motivating factor of the Gospel is the love of God.

Romans 5:8, KJV "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
God has said that we are His ambassadors, we must represent the sentiment of God, He so loved the world that he gave His Son.

2 Corinthians 5:20, KJV "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."
Let the Holy Spirit prepare your life as a sanctuary for the lost and dying of this world.

FOCUS

Itâs hard to focus on two things at the same time. Even if you can see two things at the same time you probably can only see one of them clearly. When you want to take a picture with a camera you may need to focus on the object in the background; when you do the things in the foreground become out of focus or blurry. The same is true if you focus the camera on the things in the foreground; the objects in the background become blurry.

Now take that concept to this level, your problem and your God. If all you do is focus on your problem God becomes blurry. The same is true if you focus on God; your problem becomes blurry. Now, some may say this is living in denial·you canât just hide from your problem and act as if it isnât there. Well, I agree with that. I wouldnât want you to live in denial. So I say donât deny the problem but donât deny that God is Bigger than the problem. If you forget about and act as if He doesnât exist thatâs also living in denial. Maybe we should stop telling God how big our problem is and start telling our problem how big our God is.

Jesus said that we should speak to our mountainous situations. Why would He say speak? Because there is power in your words, thatâs why! When God was creating He said ãlet there be·ä We should also understand that since we are made in the image and likeness of God we too have power in our words.

Proverbs 18:21 (KJVS) Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

We have the power of God available to us·we need to use that power. When you are facing a problem, and all of us do, speak the Word to it. Begin to decree and declare that God is bigger and God will be your helper in times of trouble. Invite god into the matter and see what He says about it. I have learned that God wants to be invited into all the areas of our lives; heâs waiting on an invitation.

Corrie ten Boom said; If you look at the world, youâll be distressed. If you look within, youâll be depressed. But if you look at Christ youâll be at rest. This came from a woman who spent quite a long time in a Nazi death camp. She knew who to look to. An old song says this ãturn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.ä

I know that it is hard to keep focused on God but I do believe that we can do it. Youâll need to pray and use the Word·thatâs the key prayer and the Word.

Thermostats and Thermometers

I want to help build your faith.

I'm sure you've walked into a room and noticed it was cold. You look around and there it is...The Thermostat!

You may ask "so what can this little life experience have to do with building my faith?" Well, I'll tell you how it can help your faith, read on.

It's not enough to know the temperature of a room, you're better off if you can control the temperature. So my question is this...what are you, a thermometor or a thermostat?

A thermometor can tell you how hot or cold the room is, but the thermostat can change the temperature. Do you realize that you can change the atmosphere in which you live? Did you know you can change circumstances in your life? Well, you can. You change the environment by your words.

Mark 11:22 So Jesus answered and said to them, ãHave faith in God.{23}For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ãBe removed and be cast into the sea,â and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Jesus said that we could speak to mountains. Certainly, what He meant was we could speak to mountainous situations in our lives and they would be removed. There is power in your words. Proverbs tells us "Life and death is in the power of the tongue."
|If you will begin to speak to your mountain you will begin to see it move. What you need to do is stop telling God how big your mountain is, you need to begin telling your mountain how big your God is!
What you need to speak to the mountain is the Word of God. That's what Jesus did when He was tempted by the devil, He spoke the Word.
Here are some mountainous situations you can beging speaking to.

Doubt and Unbelief
Unforgiveness
Fear
Fleshly Lusts
Envy
Division
Jealousy
Although the above list is not all inclusive, it does cover several big mountains. You may wonder why I didn't include sickness on the list. Well, sickness is surely a mountain for many people, but the above list shows us some things that should make us sick! Yes, you should speak the Word of healing to the mountain of sickness, but don't neglect any of the others if they are mountains in your life. I'm sure if these mountains are removed you will feel a lot better!

He Restores My Soul ~ I Should Also Restore Souls

Psalms 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. {2} He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. {3} He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His nameâs sake. {4} Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. {5} You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. {6} Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
restore verb, transitive
1. To bring back into existence or use; reestablish: restore law and order.
2. To bring back to an original condition: restore a building.
3. To put (someone) back in a former position: restore the emperor to the throne.
4. To make restitution of; give back: restore the stolen funds.

He restores my soul by renewing and re-filling me with His Spirit
Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit
To get a better understanding of this verse you might want to look at it as
"continue being filled with the Spirit"
You will see that there were many instances of people being filled with the Spirit and then the same people being filled again, we do need a continuing re-filling.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Again, we see the picture of re-filling by renewing.

I am called to restore weary and fallen brethren
Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore (mend the bones) such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.
When we are mending broken bones let's do it as gently as possible. Broken people need to be restored not broken again. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

You Will Be Filled With Something
By Pastor George M. Dupree

An article, in the Monday, January 27th edition of USA TODAY, identified nondenominational churches as the most common type of churches in America today. The article went on to say that these churches are freer, they minister to the personal needs of the congregation, and they have a more up-to-date atmosphere with lively music. They also preach a relevant message, one that pertains to the lives of the members. The article ended by saying that the church that will meet the needs of the people will be the one that experiences growth.

I agree with the article, and I truly believe that Living Water Full Gospel Church identifies with all of the above stated criteria.

We reach out to our congregation, we have an awesome music ministry, the preaching and teaching is something you can hang your hat on.

I believe the reason for this is because we are a people with enthusiasm.
enthusiasm - 1. a. Great or intense feeling for a subject or cause. b. Ardent eagerness;zeal.2.Something that inspires enthusiasm. 3. ARCHAIC. a. Excess of religious feeling. b. Fanatical religious zeal. [LLat. enthusiasmus < Gk. enthousiasmos<enthousiazein, to be inspired by a god < entheos, possessed : en-, in + theos, god.] The American Heritage Dictionary

Therefore, to be enthused is to be Filled with God.

A wonderful quotation on enthusiasm is by Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm."

Remember that the dictionary said that enthusiasm was an excess of religious feeling. Excess indicates abundance, overflowing & surplus. So when we are filled with God, enthusiastic, we are overflowing with the surplus of the Holy Spirit within. Jesus called it rivers of living water.

"On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. {38} "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." {39} But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. John 7:37-39

During the feast, on the great day, the priest took pitchers of water and poured it down the temple steps, the water then cascaded down the temple steps. This was a celebration of the ending of wandering in the wilderness. In the wilderness there is not an excess of water, so this act signified an abundance of water. Water is a key ingredient of life, both in the natural and the spirit. Jesus then says that if you believe in Him as the scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from your innermost being-your heart. I see a duality of meaning in this verse.

1. If you believe in Him according to what the scriptures say, not what human thinking says, out of your heart will flow rivers of living water .

2. If you believe in Him, the scriptures promise living water will flow from your heart.

When you are filled with God it gets expressed, because out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth will speak.

What's the real reason for church growth? People who are enthusiastic-filled with God. When you are filled with God you will express it. You will praise the Lord, you will love others and reach out to them, you will draw from the anointing in your pastor, and then the pastor will preach with a powerful anointing. You will accept people that society has rejected because you are filled with and moved by compassion. You realize that you have been freely forgiven so you want to share that love and forgiveness with others. When you are filled with God you can change the world.

You will be filled with something, let it be with God, be filled with more-more of Him!

Have You Made Peace With God? If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are encouraged to make this decision now as you pray the following prayer: “Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. I ask You to come into my heart; wash me with Your blood. I make You my Lord and Savior. God, You’re now more than my God; You’re my Heavenly Father and I’m going to serve You all the days of my life. Jesus is my Lord. Amen."
