---Welcome!

We believe & teach that there is only ONE God, ONE faith & ONE Savior, Jesus Christ.

Living Water Church is a place where where you will encounter spiritual truths and get answers to some questions that we all wrestle with in a safe and welcoming environment. Come and experience what’s happening at Living Water Church!

It all began on Sunday, January 1, 1978

Over 40 years ago, Living Water started out as a Prayer Meeting in Frank & Phyllis Dupree’s living room in Laurel, NY on Long Island’s east end. Soon, the church grew, and on January 1, 1978, we moved into a storefront building in Jamesport, NY.

“Our heart & soul is to connect people with the living and powerful God.”

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father.

Roller Coasters

ROLLER COASTERS

Have you experienced ups and downs in your life? Like a rollercoaster, life is filled with twists, turns, sudden drops and slow acceleration to heights unimaginable. We call the soaring to new heights, “success”. God has designed ups and downs in life, but they are planned for your growth and maximum joy.

If you look at Paul the Apostle’s life, you see he had his ups and downs. From raising the dead to wanting to give up. But through it all, he learned to be joyful in all circumstances. If you follow the life of Paul, you will see he had many steep falls in his life.

Today, simplify your life in order to enjoy God’s goodness. Examine what you are afraid of and why. Identify the circumstances you think you control. Remember, you cannot control most of the things around you, nor can you control other peoples’ actions or attitudes.

The one thing you have complete control over is what happens inside you. This is what God is concerned with. He is not so much concerned with the things going on around you as He is about the things going on inside you.

This is how we begin to grow and develop our full potential. When you trust God and learn to be content regardless of your circumstances, you will be free of fear, and joy will be abundant in every circumstance.

Sometimes we all get so involved in our “to-do” lists and worrying about tomorrow that we don’t enjoy the moment. Remember the old adage:

Take time to smell the roses! Whether you live with joy during the ups and downs of your life, or you live in fear is based on who you trust and is your decision, so choose well.

As A Man Thinks

Our mind is very powerful, but we only use a fraction of it. Our thinking shapes who we are and how we feel. Look at the truth of what this ancient proverb says, “As [a man] thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7).

Our minds are like magnets; they draw us towards what we think about, whether good or evil, joy or sorrow. Popular psychology calls this the “Law of Attraction.” When you have sustained focus on what you think about, you begin attracting those things into your life.

We literally are the sum of our thoughts. What you think about not only embraces your whole being, but it is so comprehensive as to reach out to every condition and circumstance of your life. You literally are what you think. Your character is a complete sum of all your thoughts.

Many people are grasping the reality of this truth and incorporating this ‘new’ philosophy and reaping success. But for Christians, the promise of success and overcoming depression are infinitely greater. When we make Christ our first priority and keep our focus on His Word, we are able to handle and overcome the vicissitudes of life.

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Meditating on the Word while filling our minds with God’s laws and applying what He says in His word is the surest way to overcome depression.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8)
