What Should You Wear?
Some people like to get dressed up and others feel free to dress casual and comfortable. We are more concerned about what’s going on inside of you than what you wear.
WHY DO WE...
WHY DO WE STAND WHEN WE SING?
2Chronicles 20:19 "And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites and of the children of the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of lsrael with a loud voice on high."
WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS?
Psalm 47: 1 O, clap your hands, all ye people. Shout unto God with the voice of triumph!"
WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS?
Psalm 63:4 "Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name."
1Timothy 2:8 "1 will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting."
WHY DO WE PRAY AND SING IN TONGUES AND IN ENGLISH?
1Corinthians 14:14-15 "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding, also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding, also."
WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS A PART OF THE WORSHIP SERVICE? Psalms 150:3-5 "Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: praise Him with the psaltery and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs! Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals!"
WHAT WE BELIEVE
THE WORD OF GOD - We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the infallible guide for our conduct and faith in God. 2 Timothy 3:15-16
GOD'S NATURE - We believe in one God eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is Omnipresent, Omniscient and Omnipotent. Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Mark 12:29
JESUS CHRIST - We believe Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of a virgin and lived a blameless and sinless life. That He died for our sins and the sins of the whole world, was buried and on the third day resurrected by the glory of the Father. He ascended into Heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God and intercedes for the saints until His return. Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 11:27, Romans 6:4 & 8:34, Acts 1:10-11
SALVATION OF MAN - We believe that salvation is a free gift of God and is received by grace through faith, not of works. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses from all unrighteousness. Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 1:7
WATER BAPTISM - We believe that after repentance and confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, a believer should be baptized by immersion in water. Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-6 , 1 Peter 3:21
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM - We believe that all believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit and should desire and expect to receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them. This is distinct and subsequent to the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and is made manifest by the speaking in tongues, spiritual gifts, and the power for an overcoming life of service to God. John 20:22, Acts 1:4 & 8,
1 Corinthians 12: 1, Mark 16:17, Acts 10:44-46
THE LORD'S SUPPER - We believe the Lord's Supper is to be celebrated by the taking of the bread and the cup, thereby, commemorating the Lord's death until He returns. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Matthew 26:26-29, Luke 22:19-20, John 6:51-57
THE CONGREGATION OF THE SAINTS - We believe that believers should gather together to have times of Worship and Fellowship on a steadfast basis, so as to grow and mature into the completed man. Psalm 122:1, Acts 2:42
THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST - We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to Heaven, His exaltation, personal, literal and bodily coming again the second time for the Church. John 14:2-3, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
THE FINAL JUDGMENT - We believe there will be a bodily resurrection of the dead. The believer in the Lord Jesus Christ shall be raised to everlasting life with the Lord and the unbeliever to everlasting separation from God with eternal torment. Revelation 20: 11-15, 2 Thessalonians 1:9
Our Statement Of Purpose
Living Water Full Gospel Church purposes to be a reflection of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to see to it that His Kingdom comes and that His Will is done on this earth just as it is in heaven.
WE PURPOSE TO:
GLORIFY GOD AND BE WORSHIPERS OF HIM
"Yet a time is coming, and has now come, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." John 4:23
TO HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON OUR COMMUNITY AND ITS FAMILIES AS WELL AS ALL THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD
"But you Will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8
TO SHOW PEOPLE THE SAVING, HEALING AND DELIVERING POWER OF JESUS CHRIST
"And He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.' ". Mark 16:15-18
TO TRAIN AND EQUIP PEOPLE TO DO THE WORK OF THE MINISTRY
"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." Ephesians 4:11 & 12
TO HELP MEET THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE OF OUR COMMUNITY ON A SPIRITUAL AND NATURAL LEVEL
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen." Matthew 28:19 & 20
"He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given." Proverbs 19:17
Have You Made Peace With God? If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are encouraged to make this decision now as you pray the following prayer: “Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins. I ask You to come into my heart; wash me with Your blood. I make You my Lord and Savior. God, You’re now more than my God; You’re my Heavenly Father and I’m going to serve You all the days of my life. Jesus is my Lord. Amen."
